Picking up from where I left off in Malacca, the friendships we made and the fun we had in doing our Popular Culture project did not remain in the historical state. Instead, we brought it all back to KL!
Bera (the Hungarian chef) and David (the Czech shy guy) dropped by and just somehow never seemed to leave. Despite the crazy semester, the bunch of us took the time to give them a grand tour. It was food after food after pictures after movies after food after pictures.
This was their first night in KL spent at Steven's Corner mamak! The place with the utmost delicious cheese naan ever! I've got cravings for those cheese naan all the time.
I didn't make it for Klang bak kut teh but the shop less than 1km away from my place sure made up for it. Everything about that night was just great. The food, the company, the photos! We even got David, who always refuses to pose for the camera to join in above with a smile!
Here we are on the path to yet more new discoveries of good food. A camera is constantly clicking away every single moment. Bera and David have never seen such chronic camwhores in their lives. Although, Bera is a serious contender for the title of "Ultimate Camwhore" and just might win it.
The only Chinese phrase that Bera knows inspired us to create this one-of-a-kind handmade tshirt, you can't get that anywhere else! We made him promise to wear it to Thailand but of course banned him from wearing it in China.
He may act like a meanie at times but in truth, he's all heart! There's us at the supposed "World Badminton Final" in the tiny frame. We swear, Bera can't go 2 minutes without talking about food.

Celebrating David's birthday at Luna Bar. The KL Tower looked so near and majestic from that altitude. Bera has now left David for Thailand haha he'll be back! In the meantime, I better get back to my pending list of eight assignments yet to be completed.
This year, I have more motivation to go for live SYTYCD shows every week. Comfortable seat, good view, great company, what's not to like? Because we missed the group performance the previous week, we made sure we got in early this week and boy, we weren't disappointed.
The Top 16 dancers wow-ed us with an animalistic fierce dance choreographed by Yannus. There were crazy movements, somersaults, backflips, lots of energy!
In the midst of ordered chaos, there were cool formations too. Best group dance so far.
It is a blessing we are allowed to take photos in the Malaysian version. Makes for good practice at dance photography and some shots, are just simply amazing. Takes your breath away.
Hong and Sarah started the show with a hip hop number choreographed by Marcus. Kinda gangsta but very little partner work. It seems hip hop cannot run away from puppet movements.
Napi and Sim Cha Cha-ed across the stage next swaying to Pussycat Dolls Shall We Dance. Not so smooth at parts but the ending was sexy good!
Belalang and Jda were next with a contemporary choreographed by Bilqis. The music from Once OST is absolutely beautiful, suits the mood. Apart from a shaky second lift and some unsteadiness, it was breezy beautiful.
If Mary Murphy were here, this rock & roll number by Sly and Zef would be ripped to shreds, I believe. Somehow their energy levels did not match up to the song or what the style required.
Black and Farah entertained yet again with their Malaysian contemporary dance. Very strong lifts, very together and loads of chemistry. Can they do no wrong?
Black is just so good at what he does. His emotions and facial expressions up close just gives you the shivers and chills.
Ray and CC take on a lyrical hip hop choreographed by Ali & Boojay to Chris Brown's Say Goodbye. Any dance with Chris Brown's rhythm has got to be a winner, right? Not so much. Timing and unison problems here.
Raymond and Jojo and their salsa by Fasilito. The judges picked at lots of problems here and there. Lacking in fire, passion, essence, sensuality and rhythm. In one word: bland.
Chee Wei and Sam hit the floor with street jazz choreographed by Manuela. When there was partner work, it was BAM! Right on. But when they were apart, timing was all over the place. Yikes.
Zef and Napi were the unlucky two eliminated tonight. Guess no one was really surprised at how it all played out.

A few weeks back, Sherly had this crazy idea to write all the criteria of our dream husband down, print out the information on little flyers then proceed to distribute them!! -_-"

It would be a bonus if my 'dream husband' had the following:
1. Knows how to play pool and bridge, or if clueless, should at least be willing to learn both
2. Understands how crazy I am about dance and be just as crazy
3. Musically talented (guitar will do) but especially if it's violin fuiyoh!
4. No piercings! Anywhere. Tattoos are a different story haha.
5. Be as romantic as Sherly in pointing out star constellations and telling me their origins
6. Loves visiting Singapore as much as I do!
7. I'm copying this from Sherly: Doesnt mind sitting with me as if we could stay there forever...to watch the sunrise, the sunset, and the stars at night...
Dreams dreams. I realise there are more important stuff than the fluffy ones stated here but for me, those dreams will be kept between me and God.
