Life is..
Life is a book in volumes three-The past, the present, and the yet-to-be.The past is written and laid away,The present we're writing everyday,
And the last and best of volumes threeIs locked from sight - God keeps the key.

Su San's SURPRISE farewell party

From what I heard, she didn't see it coming at all.
She was actually blur enough to ask:"What's happening?"TL, YC, KJ, Eddie and all the people who chipped in..
GOOD JOB! Many pats on the back! =) My camera was obsolete once again. Hah.
A night of hotdogs, crab sticks and fish cakes.
Cedar girls,
Council people,

ASEAN friends!
Plus mahjong, dai dee and
BRIDGE.
Not to mention the booze.
Jack Daniels,
Amsterdam and
Heineken.
In the end, we had all
Malaysians and
1 Indon.
9 people on
2 mattresses. How to sleep? Go figure.
And yes, WE WILL MISS YOU!!!!

The mixed bunch (some left before this)

my HEROES

Interesting new TV series. It gets you hooked. Well, at least for me. Separate individuals with different special abilities. Time travel, spontaneous regeneration, mind-reading, flying (yes, flying and no, not Superman). Not a new concept but they make it so appealing. Remarkable remarkable. I would choose this over Lost any day!
They were recently nominated for Best TV Drama Series at the Golden Globe Awards. Grey's Anatomy took home that accolade (another nice show) that night but to be nominated is an honour in itself (who said that?).
Astro (Cable TV) is going to begin showing Heroes on 31st of Jan. I can't wait till the local channel TV3 picks it up. Hope they stop teasing us with trailers of 'Coming Soon' and get on with it! Anybody who's looking for entertainment, give Heroes a try! =)

29 days..
Another day out with the ex-
Presby people. I got to know
Vanessa (on the extreme left). She's the senior of my seniors. We spent time playing
THE never ending UNO game and also
Heart Attack with spoons at her gorgeous house in Klang.
We ate at the somewhat popular 'Original Kayu'. Anybody who plans to eat there next time, DO NOT ORDER SOTONG. You all have been warned. At the end of the meal, huge wafts of smoke drifted our way from the place they were frying stuff and this resulted.
Guess I won't be seeing them anymore, what with the summer holidays coming to an end, they're all flying back to NZ and Aussie. But yay Wan Fen will be here! =)

Stayed over Su San's place for the 2nd time. Still a good host, she let us guests bathe first (heh heh). Watched Night At The Museum and quite sad it wasn't as funny as we thought it would be. Haha..don't scold me, I am not declaring love for you-know-which country! Malaysia is my Number One.
Thanks Su San for the prata breakfast, bak kut teh lunch and the car bonding session ;) Klang Bak Kut Teh is seriously good!

Presby people!

Presenting 5 ex-
Presby gals! Wan Fen, Roxanna, Alina, Hui Yi and Su San. Oh yes, there's Kimie(
Alina's boyfriend) and me in there too..Lol.
Haven't seen Roxanna(
Aussie), Alina(
NZ) and Hui Yi(
UK) in ages. More like
4 years? I realise in a way all of them
haven't changed a bit! They've matured definitely. But I still felt that they're the same old people I got to know years ago.
We had a
glorious picnic at the KLCC Park. Playing UNO(Harry Potter style) and...
Bridge! The game that we all love and am sure at one point in our lives have all been
addicted to it..haha. Hui Yi told me that to get players, I need to
TEACH! I will try, 3 beginners will not defeat me. Yep. Gotta be positive =D
On a different note, I have gotten my subjects for this semester sorted out.
Malaysian StudiesIntroduction to PsychologyIntroduction to Public RelationsVisual CommunicationExpository WritingAh..ain't so bad, I'm beginning to see the merits of it though my timetable is majorly imbalanced. Super busy one one day then super free the next. But its alright. I've got 3 interesting subjects!

The Singapore Visit Dec 2006 Part Two
One of the
main reasons for my visit is to
send my dear friends/juniors off.
Changi is truly unavoidable. I think my frequent trips there has helped me numb myself against the sadness of goodbyes. It might be quite a long while before I meet them again but what cheers me is that there's always
that possibility of meeting again =)

Food I must consume includes
soft shell crab maki. Luckily Yean Ching managed to get free time off to teman me to Suki Sushi! Heh..for a person who doesn't really like sushi, soft shell crab maki has me hooked!
Starbucks collaborated with the Salvation Army..donate any amount and you can order anything from Starbucks for free! Thanks to Kristy's love for Caramel Frappucino, I decided to order that and it is yummy!
Eragon! Striked that off my list as I went to watch it with a whole bunch of Indons. Haha..I was introduced to another
Johannes.

Those who read the book already
REALLY DIDN'T LIKE the movie. Well, am I glad that I didn't
YET. Though I didn't think it was super fantastic either. Haha =D
Watched The Holiday with Farhana, the pace may be a bit boring for some but for me Jude Law and Kate Winslet more than made up for it. Well, for one thing Jude Law is HOT. Yep. And Kate Winslet has always been a favourite of mine. Plus factor, I just couldn't help liking this version of Jack Black. He was NOT annoying at all! Amazing.
Night out with Sherly and Tuan! They fulfilled my last wish..watching Death Note 2! Hehe..I am 1 month ahead of the movie's release in Malaysia. And believe me, we felt pretty dumb and embarrassed taking such a photo. But the passerby who helped us was really sporting.
With Tuan around, what can you expect but lots of photo-taking?
Vainpot alert! =P

We kept referring to the Santa Clauses in the background as snowmen. I started it and Tuan & Sherly didn't even realise my mistake. They even continued referring to the Santa Clauses as snowmen! What a laugh!

I think this photo is
super comical! We asked a passerby to help us take it and when we checked, we realised
he didn't include the Christmas tree (which was
the whole point of the photo). Kinda surprised, yep and funny!

Got a chance to check out
Tuan's new hostel/apartment! A slight
futuristic flavour.
A bed cum study table cum wardrobe cum shelf cum storage space. Man, are they trying to save space or what?
Spot the similarity in the t-shirts! ;P

We had booze (alcohol from 7-11-Jim Bean and something else) and we had Snapple! I kept to my list of things to avoid so Snapple it is for me. Look at the happy face high on Mango Madness =D

A visit that is
too short for my liking and
yet too long as I had
withdrawal symptoms!
Hix ='(
But I had absolutely TONS of fun and thank goodness it was packed with fabulously great friends! *extra note* Thank you Yean Ching for your hospitality!!!!!! Reren for (sort of) sacrificing your hols back home for me.

The Singapore Visit Dec 2006 Part One
Attended
Wesley Methodist Church Orchard while I was in Singapore and my, it felt good to be back there
worshipping the Lord.
Cycling at ECP! Phew..in the rain no less! So
exhilirating and yet
peacefully calm at the same time, I needed that! Enjoyed all the familiar sights..
East Coast Park
Waterfront
Check out the different phases of colours of the Singapore Indoor Stadium!

Su San purposely dropped by Vivocity(my first time there) to feed me and Reren cake! And she introduced me to Daiso-the $2 shop! Pretty interesting. Haha..I like our picture together a lot somehow.

Here's the
Pandaqueen who was ever busy with
NUS Choir and
KR Acapella, all those carolling and practices!
But she made time for me. Heh. That is, when she's not ignoring me like what she is doing in the picture reading her beloved novel =P

Met up with
CK the day before his flight. Yep, he promised to play bridge with me but there just weren't any other players around. No matter, we had a ball of a time chatting just like old times. CK categorizes me as his
'bitchy but fun' friend. Oh my. It doesn't mean what you think..Lol.

Dinner at Pepper Lunch with
Mrs Gan! All the gossip, news and scandals. Haha..we showed Mrs Gan how to take a
typical Singaporean photo-a picture of yourself in the mirror.
I managed to catch Kent Ridge Acapella's carolling performance at Timberland Vivocity. One of them actually came up to thank me for staying to watch the whole show! Haha..I wouldn't have if not for Reren =P

I also managed to catch
ACJC Choir's carolling performance at
UIC Building.

And I wouldn't have been there if not for
Stephen!

Heh, met his parents and sister for the first time.

I escaped to
NTU for 3 nights of relaxation.
Sherly was a good host! She brought me to the
Art&Design building that has grass growing on its roof. It happens to be a popular couple spot and sure enough we saw a couple there, oops.
And it was there in NTU that I had my happy nights of bridging! With Sherly,
Mike and Sherly's neighbours-
Xiu Lu and
Evonne. We got so hungry in the early hours we had to order in McD. My first ever McD delivery!
POOL! Yes I played enough times to make me happy.
With Ying Herng, with Erlin, with Sherly and her friends and also Tuan! And we discovered a super cheap place (near Cathay) for pool! Yep, hop over to Paradiz Centre for a relatively inexpensive good time!
The hangout supper place when Sheares supper is not available-Fong Seng! I think this is one of the most enjoyable things to do during my visit =)
Web-camming in Yean Ching's room! Yippee, got to talk with
Zee finally after sooooo long. Good to know she's doing well in Russia and having fun! We were making funny faces at Zee and she wasn't looking!

We web-cammed with
Su San too! She says we're too lame making funny faces at her but then she joined in too. Lol.

First time ever I'm lucky enough to be in Kino when they announce a members only 20% discount..hoho..thanks to Reren's membership, I am now a happy owner of Eragon and Eldest!
Of course since it is December after all, all the Christmas decorations were up all glittery and shiny. Some were pretty. Check out the myriad of Christmas trees!

Top row: Changi, UIC Building, Paragon.
2nd row: Outside Vivocity, inside Vivocity, Heeren.
3rd row: Taka, Heeren, Cathay.
