Su San's birthday

First visit to Wan Fen's place! And we had a mission. To make it a great birthday for dear Su San. Food preparation began the night before. Shopping for the ingredients (I was the carrier), Wan Fen was the genius behind the menu.

Here we are in the kitchen. Fern marinating the chickens. And me chopping up the coriander leaves. I was told to chop it up super fine like salt?!! That was ok with me but when I finished (I thought it was fine like salt already), Fern walked over and said 'Oh, not bad, chop it up some more'. What what what? SLAVE DRIVER!! Haha..its alright, I survived.

The next day we were up bright and early, Fern to work and me (representing all East Coast-ers..I'd like to think so) went to meet up with San. Thanks for the treat to breakfast ;)

We killed time at Delifrance by refilling hot water for our green tea at least thrice? The decor of the shop was pretty much the same as other Delifrance outlets in Singapore but this one had nice portraits all around that Su San just loves.

Coffee Bean's tea latte. My first time drinking it since how many months ago? I could have accumulated points for you Reren! =D

Happy Feet Happy Feet!
Watch it to have a good time and to laugh heartily. I think the voices behind all these penguins really was the main reason I enjoyed it so much. Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, Brittany Murphy who had an amazing singing voice (who would have thought?) and Robin Williams!!! Oh my gosh, you can never go wrong with him. I loved the penguin Ramon so much..there was just something so crazily wackily funny about him and then I found out he's voiced by Robin Williams..woohoo..no wonder he was the way he was =)

Burger King Malaysia actually has Black Pepper Beef Burger! Wow. New discovery. Pretty alright. They had surprisingly comfortable chairs all around and so much variety in their seats. Nice nice.

Dinner is the highlight when we got back to Fern's place. The marinated roasted chicken tasted delicious, we had fresh salad and yummy salsa sauce with chips. Not to mention the sinful but oh-so-delicious butter almond + chocolate banana split.

In fact, I liked the salsa sauce so much I decided to make my own at home! Hoho..it might look nothing like the normal salsa sauces but I like it.

The next morning, we woke up to tasty Japanese rice. I seriously need to learn more recipes from Fern. Heh, and I will try the Aglio Olio recipe from Su San sometime soon.

Nothing like hanging out with great pals. Hope you had an awesome birthday with lots of love ;)

Summary

What's been going on (in pictures and not so many words):

Attended a mini concert by UCSI's School of Music students. My favourite piece of the night was a song by The Corrs. There's just something about violins that's so cool.

A one time part time job with 98.8FM during their Smiling Campaign. Had to get people in Sungei Wang to agree to take pictures of their best smile. 300 over willing participants in just a little over 4 hours. Pretty neat experience.

Stayed over at Claudia's place (she's in the middle) for a night. Ah..she lives just 5 minutes away from uni! Compared to my 20 minutes, that's a luxury.

Proud and estatic owner of an original Sesame Street schedule book from Universal Studios Japan! iPut keren!!! ^_^

Me and Su San's first visit to Times Square. Watched Step Up. Nice dance choreography. Hot hot hot Drew Sidora (Jenna Dewan's best gal pal in the movie).
Wan Fen is a fan of SYTYCD too! Nice Italian lunch we had. That's the indoor roller coaster behind us by the way.
Catching up on So You Think You Can Dance Season 2. My 6 favourite dancers. Check them out. Talented. Humorous silliness. Charming. Perfect chemistry. Great personalities!

Snow is still one of my favourites. And Tuan's too..hoho =D

Caught DeathNote in the cinema finally! *celebration*

Define Life

Life is a gift…accept it.
Life is an adventure….dare it.
Life is a mystery…unfold it.
Life is a game…play it.
Life is a struggle…face it.

Life is beauty...praise it.
Life is a puzzle…solve it.
Life is opportunity…take it.
Life is sorrowful…experience it.
Life is a song…sing it.
Life is a goal…achieve it.
Life is a mission…fulfill it.

Life is difficult. Heck.
Life is beautiful. Enjoy.
Life sucks.
You're gonna love it! ;)

Random update

Lily udah balik!
And guess what she brought along with her from Medan!
Makasih Lily!
I can't believe she remembered that I like Nescafe Ice.

There's just one thing. Printed on the back is:
Haha..I'll pretend I am an Indonesian consumer everytime I drink it! ;)

My First Words

I just found out recently during a normal family dinner what my first words were. Absolutely legendary I know ;P

My dad was kind enough to provide this interesting bit of information which my brother kept laughing his head off upon hearing it.

My first words were...
"Kick you ah!" (direct translation from Cantonese)

Tsk. What a violent kid!

Apparently I was being bullied by my brother then which caused me to utter such language. Haha..no prizes for guessing I must have picked those words up from a certain elder sibling.

I tag : Reren. Yean Ching. Sherly. PatPet. Erlin.
You guys better go find out your first words. Nanya bokap lu!
Heh..and whoever else feels like sharing their first words, feel free to do so.
